Talking
football |
Supports:
|
Norwich City
|
Most likes them to beat:
|
Ipswich Town
|
Apart
from Norwich, would most like to play for: |
The mighty Hammarby IF.
|
Favourite
player ever:
|
Peter Mendham, without question. However,
Big Iwan will be sorely missed by Norwich next season in all but the
footballing capacity.
|
Favourite
goal ever:
|
Jeremy Goss' volley for Norwich against
Bayern Munich in Munich, during the glorious 1993/94 season.
|
Favourite
goal celebration:
|
I have two (sorry to be controversial!).
At World Cup 1994, an African chap, don't know who he was and can't remember
what country he played for, pretended to be a dog p***ing on the corner
flag! I also believe that nothing in football to this very day displays the
same amount of sheer passion as Abbsy himself showed in the 1st round of the
Arrow Trophy (I think) in year 8! [My screaming fit actually occurred in
the Intermediate Trophy in Year 9. - WA.]
|
Best
match attended:
|
Despite the result, it is definitely the
Division One Play-Off Final in 2002 between Norwich and Birmingham. It was
the most amazing, yet gutting, event I have ever experienced.
|
Best
football kit in history:
|
The yellow and green flecks of Norwich in
1993/94.
|
Nightmare
eleven: |
Pat Bonner (GK), Fabian Wilnis (D), Tim
Breacker (D), Titus Bramble (D), Robert Ullathorne (D), Chris 's***bag'
Llewellyn (M), Stuart Ripley (M), Finidi (M), Phil Neville (M), Trevor
Benjamin (S), Claudio Caniggia (S)
|
Greatest
football memory: |
Norwich's UEFA Cup run in 1993/94.
|
Lowest
football memory: |
Relegation not long after (curse you
Deehan!!).
|
Playing
career: |
Centre back for Lingwood Junior School
for a year. I think it was 12 games, and I scored one goal. Goalkeeper for
1st Lingwood and Strumpshaw Cub Scouts 5-a-side B Team (about eight games
for them). One short trial period for Hadley FC last year.

|
Top
10 albums: |
Hmm, tough one. I think I'd have to
say......
1. 'Highway 61 Revisited' - Bob Dylan
2. 'In The City' - The Jam
3. 'Revolver' - The Beatles
4. 'Up The Bracket' - The Libertines
5. 'I Should Coco' - Supergrass
6. 'Bringing It All Back Home' - Bob Dylan
7. 'It Still Moves' - My Morning Jacket
8. 'The Stone Roses' - The Stone Roses
9. 'The Greatest Hits Volume One' - Electric Light Orchestra (I'm not
ashamed any more. I MUST acknowledge the sheer choonage.)
10. 'Weezer' - Weezer
|
Underrated/overrated
albums: |
Radiohead's 'OK Computer' should have
been renamed...er...'O(verrated)K Computer'. In my view it is very hit and
miss and does not deserve the praise it gets when compared to 'The Bends',
which is better. I also think that 'Blood on the Tracks' by Bob Dylan is the
just the 'safe' choice for lazy magazine editors like that of NME, who
seem unaware that he produced much better material.
As far as underrated
albums go, Mr. David Viner's self-titled debut effort gets a shout, as do
ELO, whose original orchestral-rock stylings still go unnoticed. I'll never
stop spreading the word!!!!
|
Best
gig/festival attended: |
Bob Dylan at Wembley Arena in the
November of 2003 gets my vote, as he delivered all I wanted and more!

PHILOSOPHIES |
6

Great Yarmouth, people who degrade women,
the French, discourteous motorists, an inch off each of my feet, drunken
nights of debauchery.

For sheer value for money, it has to be
ASDA Smartprice instant chicken flavour noodles. At 8 pence per pack you can

Some form of non-violent audio torture! [Very
